Remembering Emily Review by Amjara

The Story & Gameplay

There are two routes to this story, so completing both will give you the complete overview of the story. The story itself is linear however, each time you make a choice it is one of two responses. I selected all the first choices in my first run through and all the second ones in my second.

The story is very well written, and each chapter leaves you hanging with a twist (thankfully this novel is not in early access)!

🌶️ Spice Level – I will say medium. There is nothing sexual but there are scenes of death, mentions of violence and a gun pointed at the mc in one part.

Settings & Extras

Settings & extras include; display mode, language, text speed and audio controls. There are plenty of save slots available. You can turn off the hud for taking screencaps and their is a history log.

The Visuals & Audio

The artstyle is anime inspired with a cartoonish vibe. The backgrounds and sprites are hand illustrated and colored in a vibrant palette. There is no voice acting, which is fine, and the ambient sounds such as rain or the murmur of the crowd is well done.

Overall Experience

A really good story, with each chapter ending on a twist. It is a short read but I enjoyed it. It was just long enough with an intriguing narrative and some great art, screen capture lovers will enjoy this one (and yes you can hide the hud for taking captures). It was only a couple hours for me but I am a fast reader (time may vary depending on your reading speed). 🍓
